Celebration of Light December 6 and 7, 2025 From ancient carols to contemporary songs of celebration, this concert will lead our audiences on a mindful, devotional and celebratory journey for the Winter Holidays. We will first feature “Ceremony of Carols” by Benjamin Britten and songs about coming together with family and friends. The second half will be dedicated to discovering our connection to light and how it unifies us and brings us together. It will feature works such as “Lux Aurumque”, “Sure On This Shining Night”, and “This Light”. Jubilate! March 7 and 8, 2026 Our season continues with a celebration of humanity and the joy of living with songs about life, love, and rejoicing. This concert will feature Dan Forrest’s powerful “Jubilate Deo” with orchestra. “Jubilate Deo” is a setting of Psalm 100 in 8 different languages, and features rhythms and melodies from around the globe. Around the World and Home Again May 16 and 17, 2026 While presenting music by composers from 15 countries from around the world, we will explore and discover sounds and emotions expressed both universally and uniquely. This will be a wonderful tour! Then we return home to the PNW to hear some Vocal Jazz with a set led by Darcy Schmitt, followed by the VMC singing musical works written by local and regional composers including Howard Meharg, Sydney Guillaume, Reginald Unterseher, and Judy Rose.
